How BGCAN works

Post background requests to every BC agency on BGCAN at once, pick who you want from their submissions, and keep your notes and changes in one place.

   Create your free account

   Create an account and choose “I'm a casting director”. Add your name, casting company and phone. There's no charge for casting directors.

   Post a request

   Press New request. Add the production, what you're looking for, dates, call time, location, rate, day or night shoot, anything on set (animals, smoke, water, heights) and wardrobe you need. Attach PDFs such as wardrobe examples or breakdowns. Mark it urgent if it is. Send it to “Every agency on BGCAN” (including ones that join later) or pick agencies.

   Review submissions

   Each request has a board of everyone agencies submitted, grouped by agency, with photos and sizes. Click a photo to see the full profile: every photo, sizes, wardrobe, vehicles, training and anything they've chosen to share. You never see performers' contact details or private notes.

   Pick, and let the agency confirm

   Press Pick on the people you want. The agency checks with the performer and confirms, which books them for every shoot day. You can let someone go, and change a booked date (the agency is told automatically).

   Browse agency rosters

   Agencies can let you browse their roster. Search it the way you'd say it (“women 30-45 with a car”), open anyone you like and ask their agency to submit them for one of your requests; the agency gets a notification.

   Send quick notes

   Send a note to one agency, every agency on a request, or only those who submitted: “Wear warm layers”, “Call time moved to 6am”. Agencies see it in their Inbox.

   See your numbers

   Reports show which agencies you book with most (as a share of your booked days), how many each submitted and how many you picked, month by month.
